Overview
The JoFunction store sells our own physical and digital products directly.
The challenge
Physical and digital products behave differently at almost every step — stock, delivery, refunds, tax. Supporting both without two separate systems is the real design problem.
Strategy
One catalogue model with fulfilment behaviour attached per product type, so the storefront and checkout stay identical while the operations behind them differ.
Design
Product-led and editorial. Large imagery, short copy, and a checkout that never asks for anything it does not need.
Engineering
Payment, tax and shipping integrated and tested against real cases including failure paths. The order path is load-tested before campaigns rather than after them.
Outcome
A commerce platform that handles physical and digital products through one system, with its capacity measured rather than assumed.
